About Wreaths Across America

Wreaths Across America began in 1992 when Morrill Worcester, owner of a wreath company in Maine, found himself with a surplus of holiday wreaths. Inspired by a childhood visit to Arlington National Cemetery, he chose to donate them to honor our nation’s fallen heroes. What started as a quiet gesture grew into a powerful national movement. Today, Wreaths Across America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to Remember our fallen U.S. veterans, Honor those who serve, and Teach the value of freedom to future generations.

Each December, volunteers across the country place millions of fresh wreaths on the graves of veterans at over 4900 cemeteries nationwide, including the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. This powerful act of remembrance brings communities together to ensure that no hero is ever forgotten. With every wreath laid, a name is spoken, a story is remembered, and a legacy is honored.
